Officially we are known as “Friends of the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library”. Unofficially we are simply “friends of the Library”.

Our group of volunteers believe that libraries are critical to our society and our culture. How critical? Below are just a few quotes about the importance of libraries:
